广东横岭山出土玉玦的工艺特征及其用途浅析

Research on Craftwork and Use of Jade Jues Unearthed from Henglingshan Site in Guangdong Province

  • 摘要: 广东省博罗县横岭山商周时期的墓地是迄今广东省发现的、最完整、数量最大的先秦时期的墓葬群,为2000年中国十大考古新发现之一。对其中M177墓出土的一对做工精美的石英质玉玦的基本特征、工艺及微痕进行了分析,推测当时使用了可以固定旋转轴的钻孔技术、硬度很高的抛光材料或专门的“垫托”工具。根据其红外透射光谱分析指出,岭南加工玉器的先民掌握了玉器上蜡工艺,可能提供了中国目前最早用蜡改善玉器的案例。认为M177墓出土的玉玦及其它墓葬出土的玉玦应该是本地加工的产品,可能是具有财富象征意义的珠宝礼器,而不仅仅是一种装饰品。

     

    Abstract: The tombs of Henglingshan site in Shang and Zhou periods are the most significant ones in whole and sum before Qin Dynasty from Boluo county,Guangdong Province,as well as one of the ten crucial archaeological discoveries in 2000 in China.According to the characteristics of craftwork and micromark of quartzitic jade jues unearthed from the ancient tombs of Henglingshan site,in particular to a pair of the fine jade jues from the tomb M177,it is conjectured that the jade jues are made by the natives and the technology is employed in which fixed revolving axis in the centre when drilling a hole in jade materials,and the special fixed tools and rigid polishing materials would be used also in cutting and polishing processes.On the basis of infared transmission spectrum analysis,the jade ware is believed to be polished with wax for its outstanding appearance in the first time and is the first case which its surface is enhanced with wax until now in China.It is affirmed that the jade jues unearthed from the tomb M177 and from others in Henglingshan site are some kinds of ancient jewelry and ceremony symbols which stand for fortune,not only earring ornaments.
