Study on Emulation Model and Principle of Optical Effect of Round Brilliant Cut Diamond

  • 摘要: 钻石切工与其光学效果的关系较复杂,深入研究需要借助计算机三维仿真系统。介绍了钻石三维仿真系统的基本原理与组成。其基本原理为光线跟踪。该系统由光源模型、钻石模型、观察模型及光线跟踪模块组成。定义了两个量化指标:亮度返回值与色光返回值,分别作为成品钻石产生好亮度与好火彩的能力指标。

     

    Abstract: The relation between cut and optical effect of diamond is so complicated that computer 3D emulation model is necessary when it is lucubrated. The basic principle and constituent parts of the diamond 3D emulation system are introduced in the paper. The basic principle is light tracing. The system consists of four parts: light source model, diamond model, observation model and light tracing module. In addition, two numeral indexes are defined: brightness return(BR) and coloured light return(CR), which evaluate the target of good brilliance and good fire on diamond products.
